AccessCareer Partners Meet in Athens to Advance Inclusive Career Counselling Across Europe

Partners of the AccessCareer – Enhancing Inclusive Access to Career Counselling project gathered in Athens, Greece, on 10–11 March 2026 for the project’s Transnational Project Meeting (TPM), hosted by HEADWAY and coordinated by Acción Laboral. The meeting brought together consortium partners from across Europe to review progress, strengthen collaboration, and plan the next phase of the project.

Over the course of two days, partners assessed the achievements made so far and discussed key developments across the project’s work packages, focusing on the advancement of innovative tools and training resources that support career counsellors working with diverse and vulnerable groups.

The meeting opened with a welcome session and an overview of the project’s objectives, expected outcomes, and implementation timeline, followed by updates on administrative and financial management procedures to ensure smooth project coordination and compliance.

A significant part of the discussions focused on Work Package 2, which is dedicated to the development of a training curriculum for career counsellors. Partners reviewed the implementation of pilot trainings delivered in participating countries and exchanged feedback on methodologies, learning outcomes, and opportunities for further improvement.

The consortium also advanced discussions on Work Package 3, which focuses on the co-development of innovative guidance tools and their pilot implementation. These tools aim to strengthen career counselling services and improve access to guidance for individuals facing barriers in education and employment.

The second day of the meeting concentrated on communication, dissemination, and sustainability strategies to maximise the project’s impact. Partners explored ways to expand outreach, engage stakeholders, and ensure that the results of the AccessCareer project continue to benefit career counsellors and organisations beyond the project’s lifetime.

In addition, the consortium discussed quality assurance measures, risk management, and evaluation processes to ensure the successful delivery of the project’s activities and outputs.

The Athens meeting provided a valuable opportunity for partners to strengthen collaboration, share experiences from pilot activities, and align on the next steps. As the project progresses, the consortium will continue working together to develop practical resources and innovative approaches that enhance inclusive access to career counselling across Europe.

The AccessCareer project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and aims to empower career counsellors with new tools, competencies, and methodologies to better support individuals with diverse needs in navigating education and employment pathways.

Stay tuned for more updates as the AccessCareer project continues to develop impactful solutions for inclusive career guidance.
